Blacktrack would like to give a special thank you to all the crew and supporters that attended Jamboree 2008. We brought home the Sports Compact Group Best Crew Style award which really enforces we have some of the best crew members in the country and this is greatly appreciated.

Event Updates: Rotary Respect In The Top End

At the recent Northern Territory Titles held at Hidden Valley Dragway Brad Bakers Series 1 RX7 put on a great spectacle for the Sports Compact Community taking on the big block clan from the top end.

Having had 12 months off from driving duties and having the car recently rebuilt and race prepped in NSW by Blacktrack Performance Dyno Centre, Brad took it easy on the first couple of passes with a 10.44 ET @ 126.40MPH to open proceedings followed up with a 10.05 ET @ 128.94 MPH, feeling confident Brad was lined up against the fastest car in the NT, a big block V8 running 9.5 ET’s.

BLACKTRACK CRESSIDA HUNTING FOR 8'S

Anyone who has attended a Sport Compact Group event in the last 3 years will be familiar with the 1JZ747 Cressida from Black Track Performance Dyno centre and its scary fast top end charges on its competitors in Turbosmart Street RWD.
After the disappointment of an electrical issue putting them out of eliminations at the 2008 Mackenzie’s Motor Trimming Compak Attak in Sydney, Shane and Justin are confident with the always great conditions at Willowbank Raceway, we will see the Silver Ghost run its first 8 sec pass.

Event Updates: Heathcote Summer Slam 2nd Feb 08

Summerslam was held at Heathcote Raceway on Saturday the 2nd February and Blacktrack Performance and three of our customers made the treck down to compete at the event.

Congratulations to all three of our guys, Well done Pat for taking the win in Street 289, Spanky for coming Second and Shane in our Cressida for making the final in SRWD. A Fantastic result.

Event Updates: Jamboree 2007 J17 V2 Report

November 3rd brought Jamboree 2007 V2 to Willowbank Raceway, with BlackTrack Performance taking eight cars for the second attempt. Although the crowds were down this time round, the day was full of action. We saw Gas Motorsport run for the first time, top qualify with a 6.97

and take the win for Pro Turbo. Those there also witnessed numerous other cars achieve some fantastic results. One to mention is our very own Shane Crichton who made Top Qualifier for Street Rear Wheel Drive with an ET of 9.87. Shane also took the win for the Sports Compact Group Series with a lead of 180 points over his second place opponent Lee Docherty.

Hey Guys,
We've been flat out at Blacktrack Performance working behind the scenes so we can bring you our new gallery to house all our photographs (courteousy of CIRCLEWORKS PHOTOGRAPHY) as well as our video footage from all our drag events.

Event Updates: Jamboree Car Pics

Jamboree 2007 saw Blacktrack Performance for the first time, a new name, 14 cars , 6 of which new to Willowbank Raceway. We had a massive supportive crew ( which we must say thank you to all) We had the anticipation for a successful weekend. We were there, we were ready and unfortunately due to rain our suspense has been postponed.
